Featured on Bella Blvd.

I've got a couple of projects featured over on the Bella Blog today !!  Head over to see what else they've got goin' on .......
Fall Altered Wooden Owl
Jennifer edwardson - Happy Fall 3
I found this cute little wooden owl in a clearance bin shortly after Thanksgiving and as cute as I thought he was, I knew I could make him cuter :)
Jennifer edwardson - Happy Fall 1
Jennifer edwardson - Happy Fall 2
I took the bottom banner off and got out my tracing paper. I traced every piece on him (yes this one took some time) and then chose my patterns. Once I had all the pieces cut and the edges sanded, I started putting him back together with some of my faves from the Thankful collection.
Jennifer edwardson - Happy Fall 4
I loved the chip icons and alpha stickers for my title and thought the chip house fit in perfectly.
Jennifer edwardson - Happy Fall 5
I added some wooden buttons for his eyes and folded some designer tape to create some funky eyebrows too. I am so happy that I brought hime home and really made him mine.
Supplies:
Thankful: Turkey Tracks, Homey, Burlap, Our Spot, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Designer Tape: Pony Dot; Wood Buttons: Checkers

Halloween Altered Tray
Jennifer edwardson - Halloween Tray 1
My kids absolutely LOVE Halloween. It is only 2nd to Christmas in our house. Okay, maybe their birthday's too. Nonetheless, they LOVE Halloween. It is always a big production and the costumes choosingis HUGE, especially for Alexander.
Jennifer edwardson - Halloween Tray 2
He was adamant that he got to be something scary this year (2010). I had a hard time with it as he was only 5 but Dracula was my compromise and he LOVED it. Emma wanted to be a rider – thanks goodness we had most of her costume so I got a toddler pony costume, did a little cutting and stitching and she was good to go.
Jennifer edwardson - Halloween Tray 3
Documenting this particular Halloween in a special way was important to me as it was the only year that Emma & Alex would be in the same school together. This tray was the perfect way to capture these memories for me as I can have it out in my office all year and then add it to our Halloween décor each October too.

The stickers and cute cuts worked beautifully to embellish (I love the bats in the corner) and I even got some designer tape in there as the spiders web.

Supplies:
Too Cute To Spook: Itsy Bitsy Spider, Quadrants, Cute Cuts, Jacks-A-Glow, Spooky Night, Cob Webs, The Boo Crew, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Flags: Summer; Designer Tape: Jail Bird

a baby gift.....

Today I thought I'd share a gift bag and card that I made for a friends new baby girl.....

I used 'Baby Girl' by Bella Blvd. to cover a white paper lunch bag.....

..... i added patterned paper to the front AND back.  I made the back piece a little longer than the bag so that it could fold over the front when it was closed.....

....a few die cut shapes and a ribbon to close - perfect !!

For the card base I used pieces from the David Tutera Celebrate collection with lots of paper and stickers from Bella to embellish......

a new 'Kiss Me' layout.....

I've been playing with 'Kiss Me' ..... the newest collection from Bella Blvd. and have a few projects to share with you.....

......I mixed the high five alphas with chip alphas to create my title.....

The picture of Scott and I was quite dark so I punched out lots of plain and scalloped circles and created this colorful section underneath the photo.....

......a few buttons and some fun folded designer tape too.....

.......and to finish it off i cut out a journal card and put it in my typewriter to add some special thoughts about my amazing husband......

Check back for more projects ..... 'cause I've been workin' on LOTS :))))

a Halloween Mini....

This was a project that I started a long time ago and it got tucked aside until just a few days ago.....i thought with Halloween around the corner it was the perfect time to get it finished :))

I used Fancy Pants 'Oct 31st' collection to create this fun Mini Flip Album.

I used a 'drippy' border punch along the border at the bottom and added a title sticker, created a custom flag with the haunted sticker and tied it to close with natural coloured twine......

I love that when you open this mini the pages 'flip' into 2 directions.....I added photos to both sides and then filled in with bits of patterned paper and stickers too.....

To create spots to journal, I stamped onto coordinating papers and cardstock as well as directly onto the album......

......by the time all was said and done, I've got a perfect reminder of how much fun Halloween 2011 was around our house !!!

Meet Me with Bella Blvd.

Morning :))  Today is my turn to 'get met' on the Bella Blog with a few more of the DT members.....

This is a fun project that I created for my new term application with Bella.  I am always collecting pieces that I see that I can turn into something different, fun or just give new life to a piece !!

This was a paper mache 'school book' that I wanted to turn into a school pencil box for my daughter.  She began home schooling a little more than a year ago and I am always creating fun new pieces to add to her desk......

I really wanted to get the spine of the book to look authentic so I used a damp sponge to mold the paper to the book.  Once I got it the way I wanted with some wrinkles in it, I added mod podge over it a let it dry.....

I added more patterned paper to the rest of the box and again covered it with mod podge as well as I wanted it to be very functional for her when she used it for her school supplies....

The last piece i wanted to add to this box was a sticky note pad to the inside cover......I adhere the back to the inside cover with some twine so that it didn't fall inside the box each time she closed the lid....

All Emma has to do now is add all her supplies and get to work :))
